Hugo Dalmar, Jr. Trophy Awarded to Skeeter Johnston

The United States Polo Association hosted its annual spring meetings in Lake Worth , Florida . It was an action packed series of events where attendees met to discuss all aspects of the sport.

Although it was strictly business by day, the evenings gave way to a more relaxed setting including the USPA Chairman's Reception, hosted by chairman Tom Biddle. The evening featured a tribute to longtime USPA supporter, Skeeter Johnston.  The Hugo Dalmar, Jr. Trophy was awarded posthumously in his honor for his contributions to polo throughout the years. Skeeter's wife, Leslie, accepted the award alongside his father, Skey Johnston.

The Hugo Dalmar, Jr. Trophy is presented annually to a player who displays good sportsmanship on the field, shows respect for the horses, fellow players and officials, along with volunteering his time and efforts to better the sport.
