William Field Invitational Tournament

Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, hosted the annual William Field Invitational Polo Tournament November 14-18. Six men’s and six women’s intercollegiate teams competed. The tournament showcased the talents of the young student players and provided a snapshot of what is to come this intercollegiate tournament season.
Fourteen games were played over five days thanks to the efforts of Dave Eldredge and the Cornell polo community. Some of the top intercollegiate horses from Yale, Skidmore, the University of Connecticut, and the University of Virginia joined the Cornell strings, allowing each team to play two games within each bracket. The competitiveness and sportsmanship of the teams was high, and all should be commended for a wonderful tournament.
